| Weak Sauce on Shasta |
|
July 8, 2006
Heh, this will be a quick TR to write. I drove to Shasta, figuring that Avy Gulch would be easy, painless, and provide some decent skiing. I hiked up in the evening, slept on a rocky ridge. The next morning I realized that I had somehow lost my food. I skinned to 10,000, felt extraordinarily lazy, and decided that the snow was mediocre at best. So I skied down. The snow was indeed mediocre. Pretty pathetic, huh? Oh well, I drove to Lassen. I didn't even take any photos, other than this shot from far away. Weak. I'll have to come back next year. To a more interesting route. |
